At the recent G20 Rio de Janeiro Summit, President Xi Jinping delivered an important speech and had in-depth exchanges with leaders of various countries on the theme of "building a just world and a sustainable planet". From announcing China's eight actions to support global development, to calling for joint efforts to build a fair and reasonable global governance system, China has demonstrated its great power responsibility in promoting global development and improving global governance through practical actions, promoting the continued consensus building of the G20, playing an exemplary role, and seeking development for all countries and progress for the world.

As an important member of the G20 and the largest developing country, China has consistently promoted the G20 to strengthen unity and focus on development. President Xi Jinping has always attached great importance to development issues, and for the first time placed development issues at the macroeconomic policy coordination center of the G20 Hangzhou Summit in 2016. At this summit, President Xi Jinping profoundly elaborated on China's actions and proposals to promote global common development, and continued to provide Chinese solutions and strength for promoting G20 cooperation focused on development.

China believes that the poverty problem in developing countries can be solved, and weak birds can fly and soar first. China can succeed, and other developing countries can also succeed. During the first stage of the summit on the topic of "fighting hunger and poverty", President Xi Jinping announced to the world the historic achievements and global significance of China's poverty reduction cause. China's development is an important component of global common development. China has lifted 800 million impoverished people out of poverty and achieved the poverty reduction goal of the United Nations 2030 Agenda ahead of schedule. China has decided to join the Global Alliance to Fight Hunger and Poverty. China's struggle against poverty and its solemn commitment to helping developing countries achieve poverty alleviation have greatly enhanced the confidence and confidence of developing countries. Paul Suarez Francisco, a journalist from Angola News, said that the Global Alliance to Fight Hunger and Poverty will help many countries, including African countries, solve hunger and poverty problems, and China's support is crucial. Andrew Cooper, a political science professor at the University of Waterloo in Canada, believes that it is very important for China to work together with like-minded countries on issues such as global common development.

China advocates that common development of all countries is real development, and always promotes people of all countries to share development opportunities with an open attitude. At this summit, President Xi Jinping announced eight actions for China to support global development, covering various aspects such as joining hands to build the Belt and Road Initiative with high quality, implementing global development initiatives, supporting African development, supporting poverty reduction and food security international cooperation, and a series of practical measures in response to the development demands of countries in the global South. China has always been a member of the global South, a reliable long-term partner for developing countries, and a proactive and practical supporter of global development. We are willing to work hand in hand with developing countries to achieve modernization. International public opinion believes that China's plan has both conceptual guidance and practical paths, which will have significant and far-reaching impacts on effectively addressing global challenges. Dennis Munene, Executive Director of the Central Africa Center at the Kenya Africa Policy Institute, believes that the measure of "expanding unilateral opening up to the least developed countries" among the eight actions will effectively promote the acceleration of modernization in the least developed countries.

China proposes that all parties take action together to build a just world of common development and make the beautiful vision a reality.   Argentine President Millet expressed that Argentina highly appreciates President Xi Jinping's insightful propositions on global governance at the G20 Leaders' Summit and is willing to strengthen communication and cooperation with China. French President Macron stated that France is willing to strengthen cooperation with China in areas such as addressing climate change and global governance through artificial intelligence. Felipe Porto, a researcher at the Foreign Policy Observatory of ABC Federal University in Brazil, believes that "President Xi Jinping's proposals at the G20 summit are based on the five key areas of global governance and advocate for inclusive solutions to common challenges in a turbulent world.

President Xi Jinping once described the G20 as a bridge that brings people together from all directions. Against the backdrop of numerous challenges facing global development, the international community generally expects G20 members to adhere to their founding aspirations, inject momentum into promoting world economic growth, and provide direction for improving global economic governance. China is willing to work together with all parties to promote the G20 to implement the consensus reached at this summit, promote partnership, practice true multilateralism, and open up a beautiful future of common development and prosperity.
